NORTH NANAIMO

 North Nanaimo is a desirable area, close to the city centre and a variety of nature trails and beaches. Most of the development in this area is no older than 30 years old, making it a popular neighbourhood. The houses in this area are often in upscale neighbourhoods and can include townhouses, condominiums and commercial real estate. North Nanaimo is also well-known for its abundance of restaurants, pubs, schools and nature parks. A central location, new developments and spectacular ocean views are all attractions for this neighbourhood.

Brookwood Park

This neighbourhood park features a playground designed for children of all ages and a gravel loop trail to view a picturesque duck pond. 

Linley Valley Park

This wilderness park features many trails that lead through varied terrain, from valleys to rocky hills. Located between Departure and Hammond Bay, the city manages only a portion of this parkland so it’s best to stick to the designated trails.

Norsea Park

This park, located in the Oceanview subdivision, features a newly updated playground, picnic tables and a short loop trail through a grove of trees.
