CEDAR
This area is located south of the Nanaimo city centre and is known for its small communities. Cedar is also close to the neighbouring areas of Cassidy and Ladysmith. Properties in Cedar are mainly residential and rural, with many acreages and farms that offer a variety of goods and services. Cedar is desirable for its scenic countryside, spectacular views and close access to local parks and lakes. Nanaimo River Regional Park
This park features a developed network of trails through the forest and along the river, including many opportunities for walkers, cyclists and swimmers. Part of the southern area of the park is also reserved as a wildlife habitat.
